Malcolm is a self taught artist painting still life, landscape and portrait in oil, water colour and soft pastel. Malcolm also produces pen and ink and pencil drawings.
Born in Leeds, West Yorkshire in 1950 and moved to live in France with his wife and cat in September 2007. Malcolm is a self taught artist painting still life, landscape and portrait in oil, water colour and soft pastel. Malcolm also produces pen and ink and pencil drawings.
Malcolm left school and worked in a studio producing LP record sleeves and poster design together with book illustration. He gradually moved towards 'fine art' which has been his passion since his early teens. He has been painting commissions since the late 1960's and it is only in the last thirteen years that he has decided to concentrate on subjects of his own choice.
Since then he has exhibited at;
- The Mall Galleries in London, UK; (Paste society and the Royal Society of Marine Artists)
- West Cork Art Gallery, Skibbereen, Ireland.
- Dewsbury Art Gallery (UK)
- West Yorkshire Playhouse (UK)
- Leeds Innovation Centre (UK)

- various commercial galleries throughout the U.K.
Malcolm's work has also been exhibited in Edinburgh (Scotland), Paris (France) and Los Angeles (USA).

His work is in collections as far afield as India and Australia.
Malcolm has developed a distinctive style in which his strong use of colour and the quality of his handling of light have earned him praise wherever he has exhibited, especially from his fellow artists. He has specialised in the use of soft pastel particularly producing seascapes, landscapes with water, and still life. Malcolm is a member of the French “Maison des Artistes”
